This Privacy Policy explains how ExcuseOurMinds handles information when you use the app. ExcuseOurMinds is operated by Alanityc Projects from Spain.
The app is a conversational experience with AI personalities. It stores certain information locally on your device so your chats and preferences can persist across sessions. The app also sends limited content to third-party AI and advertising/analytics providers in order to generate responses, show ads, measure app usage, and improve stability.
Important: The app does not offer account creation or login, and it does not use a proprietary user account system.
If you have privacy questions or want to exercise applicable privacy rights, you can contact:
Alanityc Projects
Email: alanityc@alanityc.com

The app may store the following information locally on your device:
This local information is used to provide the app experience and is not, by itself, sent to Alanityc Projects. You can delete local conversation data and reset the app from within the app when that feature is available.
When you send a message, the app transmits:
This information is sent to external AI service providers so the app can generate a response.
If you use image features, the app analyzes the image on your device and sends a text description or other derived textual prompt data needed for the chat flow. The app is not intended to send the raw photo itself to the AI providers as part of the normal experience described here.
If you use microphone-based input, speech processing is intended to happen on-device for message drafting. The app is not intended to send raw audio recordings to the AI providers as part of normal message composition.
The app may use the following categories of third-party services:
These providers may process certain technical information such as IP address, device or advertising identifiers, app events, crash data, diagnostic information, ad interaction data, and related metadata, depending on the service, platform, and your permissions or consent choices.
The app may display ads through Google AdMob. Where supported and configured, the app may request permission for tracking on iOS and may use advertising-related identifiers on iOS and Android to support personalized advertising, ad measurement, fraud prevention, and related advertising functions.
In regions where consent is required for personalized advertising or similar processing, the app intends to request consent through the relevant platform or consent tools.
If you decline tracking or personalized advertising permissions where applicable, ad functionality may still continue in a more limited or less personalized form.
The app may use Firebase Analytics to measure app usage, engagement, and similar metrics, and Firebase Crashlytics to help diagnose crashes and technical issues.
These tools may process device and app-related information such as app instance data, usage events, diagnostics, crash logs, approximate technical metadata, and related identifiers, subject to their own configurations and policies.
If you make an in-app purchase, payment processing is handled by Apple or Google through their native store systems. Alanityc Projects does not receive your full payment card information.
The app may request access to the following device features:
The app should request these permissions at the time they are needed. You can also manage permissions through your device settings.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar rules, the processing described in this policy may rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
Local chat history and related app data may remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall/reset the app.
Data processed by third-party providers may be retained by those providers according to their own policies, technical settings, and legal obligations. For example, AI, analytics, crash reporting, and advertising providers may retain certain logs, diagnostics, metadata, or limited request information for security, abuse prevention, reliability, measurement, or compliance purposes.
Because the app uses third-party providers that may operate globally, information sent outside your device may be processed in countries other than your own, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your jurisdiction.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights such as the right to access, delete, correct, object to certain processing, restrict processing, or request portability of personal data, as well as the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Because a substantial part of the app's data is stored locally on your device, some requests may be most effectively addressed by deleting local app data from within the app or uninstalling the app. For requests relating to data handled by Alanityc Projects or by our configured providers, contact alanityc@alanityc.com.
ExcuseOurMinds is intended for a general audience and is not designed as a children's app. The app is intended for users aged 13+.
We use reasonable measures appropriate to the app's architecture to reduce unauthorized access, misuse, or accidental loss. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
